National Museum of Mexican Art
The National Museum of Mexican Art is celebrating its 25th year of operation this weekend. I learned about the Open House in the Chicago Tribune this morning. They have 3 new exhibits to show off that are called "El Alma de la Fiesta", "Keepers", and "Mardonio Magana: Circa 1938". The museum is the only Chicago Museum that does not charge an entrance fee year round. This weekend's open house is Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. It is located at 1852 W. 19th St in the Pilsen neighborhood. And, the last time I went, there was an awesome restaurant right next door!
