We Want Vote!

We Want Vote!  There may not have been a bigger campaign in history.  The outcome may change your life forever.  It is your future.  It is your right to vote.  It is your duty!  (haha, I said duty...sigh, I think I may have watched too many movies for kids to find that funny).  Now, just what is it we are voting for, you ask?  Well, let me tell you.  In honor of Dr. Seuss's birthday on March 2, youth services wants to know which Dr. Seuss easy reader title is your favorite.  Come on up to the Youth Services Department, and enter our super secret polling stations...aka, the circle table in front of the couch by the "Ask Me" Desk.  Take a top secret ballot (a hat), decorate it as you see fit, and write your choice on the back of the hat.  Place vote in the basket, and then we will hang it up and see which title wins.  Now I know what a big decision this is, so I will list the titles here so you can really mull it over.  You don't want to make any rash decisions.

Your 2014 candidates no particular order...

The Cat in the Hat
Green Eggs and Ham
Hop on Pop
One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish
The Foot Book
Oh, the Thinks You Can Think!

See, I told you it would take some good old hard thinking to pick a favorite.  Once you figure it out though, come on in and vote!  Be heard!

Me as fuddy-duddy with my cat

Now I don't want to get all fuddy-duddy and educational and all here, but, you know, it's kind of my job, some of the time (having fun is a bigger part of it, but now I am just rambling)...Anyway, after the kids vote, it would be a great time to check out some books on voting.  Then you could have an election at home and vote on things like, the best maker of beds, or the best reader, or the best general cleaner upper in the house.  Who will be the candidates - Mom, Dad, Brother, Sister, Grandma, Fluffy the Goldfish?  Who will win?  The stakes are high.  And of course, you could also check out some Dr. Seuss books while you're at it.  It would be fitting after all.  It has come to my attention that a vote has been taken and it has been decided that I should stop talking so you can come and vote already.  So there you have it.
