November is barreling down the tracks!

Yay!  November is finally here!  I know some of you dread November...only a month away from the holidays - so many things to decorate, plan, purchase, bake, cook, and more.  Whoa there, I am starting to freak myself out a bit.  But let's take it a day at a time, right folks?  And boy does November start off with a bang!  Hold on, because here we go!

Chugga chugga choo choo!
So to start the month off right, the Model Railroad Showcase will return to the Roselle Public Library for the entire weekend.  Both Saturday, November 1st, and Sunday, Novem
ber 2nd, we will have trains galore at the library.  Running layouts of model railroads will be on display in multiple places throughout the library.  A fun train craft will also be available along with many books about trains.  This is a popular family event that you won't want to miss!

November 1st happens to be a special day, aside from our fabulous train showcase, since it is National Family Literacy Day!  What a great day to visit the library, and find some excellent books to take home and share as a family.  Get picture books for the little ones, novels for the older kids, and a great adventure story to read aloud as a family.  Read individually for a bit, read together...why not read to the dog?  We have tons of books to choose from - hey, it is why we are here after all.  I know I will be checking out a couple extra books for the weekend to celebrate National Family Literacy Day, and will be reading to my kitty cats at home.  Meow!

Better get some earplugs for my snoring!
Finally, November 2nd marks the end of daylight savings time.  Hello extra hour of sleep...we meet again and I have been waiting for you.  Well, you could use that extra hour for dream land, or you could use it to read or listen to an awesome audio book.  You did just check out a massive amount of books for National Family Literacy Day right?  So, why not read for that extra hour?  It sounds like a plan to me.

Well there you have it.  November is a busy month, so hit the ground running and we will see you here at the Roselle Public Library.
