Put on those walking shoes - It's Cocoa Crawl time!

"So grab those mittens, bundle up with care, cuz Cocoa Crawl time is here!" (song to melody of Santa Claus is Coming to Town).

I don't know about you, but I am truly excited!  Last year's inaugural Cocoa Crawl was awesome but I think that this year's crawl might just be epic!  Let me just give you a run down of the family fun afternoon on November 25 (you might want to get your calendars out to mark the day - just sayin'.)  Starting at 1 p.m., Kevin Farris and the Infinite Possibilities will be rocking the library with their groovy musical style (wonder if Pete the Cat will show up - he's been known to groove you know).  Then put those coats back on because you don't want to miss Santa driving up in that shiny red fire truck (our firefighters take pride in their equipment!).  Santa and the Rose Queen will light up the village Christmas tree and then come inside the library where both Santa and the Rose Queen will visit with all those good little girls and boys we know are here in Roselle.  Get those cameras ready!

NEW, NEW, NEW this year.  You won't have to wait in that long Santa line anymore.  Have you ever been to Disney and used those Fast Passes?  This year, the library has developed one of their own called the "Santa Pass."  It will let you know when it's time to get in line for Santa.

I know, I hear you asking, "But what do I do until it's time to visit Santa?"  Youth Services has you covered.  Come on upstairs where you can snack on some cookies and drink cocoa (yes, with marshmallows), and then color a picture, do a puzzle, build, read a book or play a board game.  I'm telling you, there will be lots to do.

Don't forget to pick up your passport here and get it stamped.  Then put on your walking shoes, put the kids in the wagon or stroller  and head on out to Main Street for the rest of the Cocoa Crawl.  The American Legion will have a Christmas train operating in their parking lot, plus an area for kids to decorate an ornament.  Stores along Main Street will be open and serving cocoa for free and it's a strong possibility that they may have some goodies to give away.

"So mark your calendar, November 25th is near, cuz Cocoa Crawl time is here!"
