June Family Programs

I just love Thursday afternoons around the library in the summer.  You know why?  The library has free family shows, sponsored in part, by local businesses in the area.  Talk about giving back to the community!  Spaces are limited for these events, so please call to reserve seats or register online through our website.

On June 21 at 12 p.m.(NEW TIME), Mystic Drumz will perform "The Legend of Marshmallow Island."  Marshmallow Island is an interactive show that aims to make music education fun and exciting for the entire family by blending multicultural music themes and audience participation.  Come and join us for the joys of music from other cultures.  I can see your foot tapping already so I know you want to be at this show!  A huge thank you to Itasca Bank and Trust for helping to sponsor this program.

I don't know if you have ever seen a Mad Science program before, but I can honestly tell you, it never disappoints.  This show calls for an audience who loves science (or just to have fun too)!  Families will be amazed when the Mad Scientist is able to defy gravity.  The world of chemistry will be introduced through didgeridoo tubes, foaming hands and steaming chemical reactions.  If I were you, I would totally be calling to reserve my seat now (what's stopping you!)  Call 630-529-1641 *351 to register today.    A shout out to All Points Property Services, Inc. for bringing this program to the library.

All shows are about 45 minutes long and begin at 1 PM.   We hope to see you on a Thursday afternoon this summer!
