And the award goes to....Mom!

As Mother's Day nears, it's time to reflect on how much Mom deserves our appreciation, respect and admiration.  After all, she is the one who takes care of us when we get hurt, who we turn to when we need help with our school work and our biggest cheerleader when we accomplish something wonderful.  If she was up for an award, you know she'd be the top pick!

One of the great things my mom did for me is take me to get my own library card.  Getting my library
card helped me feed that insatiable hunger I had for reading.  I read anywhere and anything.  You know that cereal box that sits on the breakfast table?  Yep, I read it.  Reading opens up new worlds for me and provides me much pleasure.  Thanks, Mom!

The library is a great place to get ideas to celebrate how great Mom is.  You can check out the many different cookbooks the library has and then plan a great meal for Mom.  (Moms enjoy having a day off from cooking!)  Perhaps you are the creative kind.  There are numerous books filled with great crafts that you can choose to make for her.  Don't forget the drawing books and poetry books.  Moms do really love those homemade cards.  So on May 12, don't forget to show your mom how much you love and appreciate her.
