Summer Reading Program - It's Showtime at Your Library!

This is an exciting time of the year for us because summer is just around the corner and you know what that means....Summer Reading time!  On Sunday, June 2nd, we all will have some fun at the annual Rose Parade where we will kick off the summer reading program by showing off our float.  During the parade this year, we will be passing out special bookmarks.  If you bring the bookmark in during the first week of summer reading, you will have a chance to win a special prize.  So even though candy is fun to get, make sure you take a bookmark too as we pass by you on the parade route.

Summer reading begins on Monday, June 3 and we look forward to greeting your smiling faces as you register for the program.  Don't forget you can also register online.  As long a child attends a school district the library serves in grade pre-K-5, they can sign up for the reading program and win prizes, even if the child does not have a library card.  What a great way to keep up reading skills!

So walk, peddle, hover board, skate, or drive on over to the library to participate in the summer reading program.  We will be ready to register you and make some great recommendations for some exciting summer reading titles.  My book list has already started to get quite large!!
